Dental veneers
Dental veneers are made of ceramic materials similar to teeth.
They are applied to the surface of the tooth in several situations:
- When chips or cracks appear
- When the enamel is worn and has colors that cannot be removed otherwise
- When the teeth are unevenly aligned
- When there are unsightly interdental spaces
Dental veneers fall into the category of dental cosmetics because they create a symmetrical, bright, white smile with beautifully aligned teeth.
New ceramic materials give the veneers special aesthetic and reconstructive qualities through their suppleness and naturalness, which has produced a revolution in modern dentistry.
Dental veneers can solve certain dental problems, such as:
- The shape and shade of your teeth
- Worn enamel — dull and discolored (consumption of acidic drinks, tea or coffee, smoking, use of medication, genetic predisposition, etc.)
- Wear — tooth wear is expressed by chips, cracks and the presence of a general uneven appearance
- Irregular teeth — migration following dental extractions, teeth grinding (bruxism)
- Genetic predispositions — Some people may be born with an abnormal interdental spacing that increases with age.
